About

Andrea is a Czech-born artist whose creative journey began in childhood. Over the years, she has explored a wide variety of techniques — including acrylics, oil painting, chalk pastels, drawing, and ceramics. Some stayed with her, others were simply part of the exploration. Her approach is intuitive, bold, and deeply personal.
She has lived in Sweden for many years, absorbing the quiet elegance and minimalism of Nordic design. She also spent a year in Italy, where the richness of color, texture, and history left a lasting impression, and more than half a year in Egypt, where her connection to Islamic art truly began. These contrasting influences continue to shape her artistic language.
Andrea never settles for what's available. If the market doesn't offer what she envisions, she creates it. Red shoes with turquoise accents? She designed them and asked a shoemaker to bring them to life. A carpet that reflects her own geometry and soul? She sketched the pattern and had it woven in Morocco. Only plastic bags without fantasy in shops? Let´s design and saw her own.
Her travels through the Middle East and North Africa revealed the elegance of Islamic ornamentation. Andrea discovered that her geometric designs naturally lend themselves to tile patterns. These patterns can bring warmth and an oriental touch to bathrooms, hammams, or any space that longs for something soulful and unique. She envisions her designs becoming part of architectural spaces.
Andrea follows her intuition. She believes everything has its purpose. Red-Andy-Art is her space to explore, to dream, and to create what doesn't yet exist.
